508 UK jobs are open on JobsByCountry today. 12 of them say in the listing that visa sponsorship is offered, 6 mention relocation support, and 121 are at employers whose name matches the Home Office Register of licensed sponsors. Data updated 17 October 2026.
We show the real numbers, including the small ones. A licence does not mean a specific role is sponsored, and we only call a job “mentioned” when the listing says so.

How UK visa sponsorship works (Skilled Worker visa)
To apply for a Skilled Worker visa, GOV.UK says you must work for a UK employer that has been approved by the Home Office, hold a certificate of sponsorship from that employer, do a job on the eligible occupations list and be paid at least a minimum salary.
- Find an approved employer. Only employers on the Home Office register can sponsor.
- Get a job offer and a certificate of sponsorship. Your employer provides the certificate of sponsorship (CoS).
- Apply online. You can apply up to 3 months before the day you are due to start work, and prove your identity with an app or at a visa application centre.
- Wait for a decision. From outside the UK, GOV.UK says you will usually get a decision within 3 weeks.
- Work and extend. The visa can last up to 5 years before you need to extend it.

Jobs by UK city
Most UK listings on JobsByCountry are in London (385), Denham (13), Maidenhead (12), Staines (9), Bristol (8), Coventry (7). See all of them on the United Kingdom page.
Can you get sponsorship for entry level or unskilled jobs?
Usually not. GOV.UK sorts jobs by occupation code and says higher skilled jobs qualify for the Skilled Worker visa, while medium skilled jobs qualify only if they are on the immigration salary list or the temporary shortage list. Roles outside those categories cannot be sponsored on this route, whatever the employer wants. Check the occupation code and the salary against the GOV.UK page before you rely on an offer.

How to check that an employer is a licensed sponsor
- Open the Register of licensed sponsors: workers on GOV.UK and download the latest file.
- Search for the exact legal name of the employer as it appears on your offer letter, not only the brand name.
- Check that the route is Skilled Worker, and note the town and the rating shown.
- If the employer is not listed, ask them in writing who will sponsor you before you pay or resign from anything.

UK visa sponsorship scams: what GOV.UK says
- Jobs that do not exist. GOV.UK warns about websites that offer jobs in the UK that do not exist.
- No shortcuts. It says there are no shortcuts to working in the UK, and that a legitimate employer would never ask for payment to secure a visa.
- No guaranteed jobs. It says UKVI will never guarantee a job in the UK, and that if an offer seems too good to be true, it likely is.
- How to pay. It says UKVI will never ask for payment by email, at a visa application centre or into a personal bank account, and advises paying online through official GOV.UK channels.

Frequently asked questions
Which UK employers sponsor visas?
Only employers approved by the Home Office can sponsor a Skilled Worker visa, and GOV.UK publishes them in the Register of licensed sponsors. On this page we compare employer names with that register and show a label when the name matches exactly. A licence does not mean that a specific role is sponsored, so read each listing and ask the employer.
Can I get a UK job with visa sponsorship without a degree?
GOV.UK describes eligibility by occupation code and salary rather than by qualification. Higher skilled occupations qualify, while medium skilled ones qualify only if they appear on the immigration salary list or the temporary shortage list. Check the occupation code of the job you are offered against the lists on the GOV.UK page, because many jobs do not qualify.
How much salary do I need for a Skilled Worker visa?
GOV.UK says the minimum is whichever is higher of £41,700 a year or the going rate for the type of work. Some applicants can be paid less, down to £33,400, under conditions set out by GOV.UK, and healthcare and education roles follow different rules. Checked on 10 October 2026, and thresholds change, so confirm on GOV.UK.
How long does a Skilled Worker visa take?
For applications made from outside the UK, GOV.UK says you will usually get a decision within 3 weeks, and you can apply up to 3 months before your start date. The visa can last up to 5 years before you need to extend it. The time before an employer offers a role and issues a certificate of sponsorship is separate and is not covered by GOV.UK.
Can I switch employers after getting a visa?
Not freely. GOV.UK says you need to apply to update your visa if your new job is with a different employer or in a different occupation code. Your new job must meet the eligibility requirements, you need a new certificate of sponsorship, you can apply up to 3 months before the start date, and you should not start until you have confirmation.
Who pays the visa fees, the employer or the worker?
The GOV.UK costs page lists fees per applicant and the pages we checked do not say who pays. Employers who sponsor have their own costs. Whether an employer covers your visa fee is something to agree with them in writing before you accept. GOV.UK also warns that a legitimate employer would never ask for payment to secure a visa.
How do I know a sponsorship offer is not a scam?
GOV.UK warns about websites that offer jobs in the UK that do not exist, says there are no shortcuts to working in the UK, and says UKVI will never guarantee a job. Check the employer on the Register of licensed sponsors, and pay visa fees only through official GOV.UK channels. UKVI will never ask for payment by email or into a personal bank account.
Can I bring my family?
GOV.UK lists your partner and your children under 18 as people who can apply as dependants, each with a separate application and the visa fee. Dependants must show funds of £285 for a partner, £315 for one child and £200 for each additional child. A partner or child can work, except as a sportsperson or coach, and can study.
