LEGAL
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information JobsByCountry collects when you use the site, why we collect it, and what choices you have.
Last updated: 13 September 2026
The legal entity operating JobsByCountry, its registered address and a dedicated privacy mailbox will be named in this section once they are formally registered. Until then, privacy requests can be made through the contact form under the topic “Privacy / Data Request”.
1. Information collected automatically
When you visit JobsByCountry, our servers and infrastructure providers record technical information that is normal for any website: IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring page, requested URL, timestamps and error information. This data is used to serve the site, keep it secure, diagnose faults and understand aggregate usage.
2. Search and activity data
We record the searches and navigation performed on the site. That means keywords, country, city or category filters, and which listings are viewed. This is used to improve relevance, spot broken or empty result sets, and decide which coverage to expand. We do not require an account to search, and we do not build advertising profiles from your searches.
3. Contact form data
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, company (if given), topic and message you submit. This is used only to respond to your enquiry and to keep a record of the request. If your message concerns a job listing, we may also process the listing reference you provide.
4. Employer and partner enquiries
Enquiries from employers, applicant tracking systems, job boards and other data providers are processed to evaluate and operate a potential or existing integration. This can include business contact details and technical information about the integration. Business contact information is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and developing the service.
5. Cookies and local storage
JobsByCountry uses browser storage for functional purposes, such as remembering whether you selected the light or dark theme. Additional cookies may be set by analytics or advertising technologies described below. Your browser lets you block or delete cookies and site storage; the site remains usable if you do, though preferences will not persist.
6. Analytics
We use analytics to understand aggregate traffic and how the site is used, including which pages are visited, which searches return nothing useful, and where errors occur. Analytics data is used in aggregate and is not used to identify individual visitors by name.
7. Advertising technologies
JobsByCountry intends to display advertising, including through third-party advertising technologies such as Google AdSense. Third-party advertising vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Where such advertising is active, the relevant vendor's own policies apply in addition to this one, and users in regions that require it will be given the applicable consent controls.
At the time of writing, the advertising areas on this site show a clearly labelled development preview and no real ad network is live. This section will apply in full when advertising is enabled.
8. External links to employer and ATS systems
Applying for a role usually means continuing to the employer's own application system, which is operated by that employer or by their applicant tracking provider. Once you leave JobsByCountry, that destination's privacy policy and terms govern what happens to the information you submit there. We do not receive a copy of your application, and we do not modify application data on the way through.
9. Third-party job providers
Job listings are received from company career systems and from approved or publicly available job sources. Listing content is business information about a role, not personal data about you. We keep source attribution with each listing so it can be traced, corrected or removed.
10. Data retention
Technical logs are retained for a limited period for security and diagnostics. Contact and partnership correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting relationship. Search and usage data is retained in aggregated form for product analysis. When information is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, it is deleted or aggregated.
11. Security
We use encrypted connections, access controls and standard operational safeguards to protect the systems that run JobsByCountry. No online service can promise perfect security, and we do not claim to hold a security certification we have not obtained.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to receive it in a portable form. You can exercise these rights through the contact form. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
13. Children
JobsByCountry is a service for people seeking employment and is not directed at children.
14. Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated as our services and integrations evolve, for example when advertising is enabled, when a new analytics tool is adopted, or when the operating entity is formally registered. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
15. Contact for privacy requests
Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through the contact form using the topic “Privacy / Data Request”. A dedicated privacy mailbox will be published here once it is live.
